"COME OUT AND PLAY" Delhi, the capital of India is going to host common wealth games, first time ever in India. CWG 2010 will be held in Delhi between Oct 3-14 2010.where 72 Nations participating for the 17 events. The games will start on 3 October as the Opening ceremony will take place at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The President of India Shmt. Pratibha Patil will inaugurated the ceremony and closing will take place on 14 October. The events are Aquatics, Archery, Athletics (track and field), Badminton Boxing, Cycling, Gymnastics, Hockey, Lawn Bowls, Netball, Rugby sevens, Shooting, Squash, Table Tennis, Tennis, Weightlifting and Wrestling . The total budget estimated for hosting the 19th Commonwealth is approx. US$ 1.6 billion and this amount excludes non sports related infrastructure development in the city like airports, roads and other structures.
